The IBS Discrete Mathematics Group welcomes Hyungu Kim (김현구), a new graduate student of the Discrete Mathematics Group from July 1, 2025. He received his B.S. degree from KAIST and entered the Department of Mathematical Sciences at KAIST as a graduate student on March 2025. His advisor is Andreas Holmsen.

Roohani Sharma has been appointed as the Young Scientist Fellow (YSF) of IBS
As of July 1, 2025, Roohani Sharma has been appointed as the IBS Young Scientist Fellow at the Discrete Mathematics Group. The title of her project is “Resolving Inconsistencies: Directed Cycles and beyond”. Congratulations!
Welcome Seunghun Lee, a new member of the IBS Discrete Mathematics Group
The IBS Discrete Mathematics Group welcomes Dr. Seunghun Lee, a new research fellow at the IBS Discrete Mathematics Group starting July 1, 2025. He received his Ph.D. from KAIST in August 2020. He was a Robert Riley visiting assistant professor at Binghamton University in the USA from August 2020 to July 2022, a postdoctoral research fellow at Hebrew University of Jerusalem from August 2022 to January 2024, and a BK21 Research Assistant Professor at KAIST from 2024.
