Broadly, discrete mathematics and its applications. Lately, I&#8217;ve been especially interested in forbidden induced subgraphs and its relationship to chromatic number (chi-boundedness and related questions) and coloring. I also do some work on distributed graph algorithms (in the LOCAL model of computation.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bio: <\/strong>I obtained my PhD from the Program for Applied and Computational Math at Princeton University in May 2021.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/web.math.princeton.edu\/~pds\/\">Paul Seymour<\/a> was my advisor. My Phd thesis is <a href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/pdf\/2312.11876.pdf\"><em>On recognition algorithms and structure of graphs with restricted induced cycles<\/em>.<\/a> From August 2021- July 2024, I was a postdoc in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dimag.ibs.re.kr\/\">Discrete Mathematics Group<\/a>&nbsp;at the Institute of Basic Sciences in Daejeon, South Korea <a href=\"https:\/\/dimag.ibs.re.kr\/home\/sangil\/\">which is lead by Sang-il Oum. <\/a>(Sang-il still lets me host my website here. After that, I was a postdoc in the discrete math group at University of Amsterdam under the supervision of <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.fnwi.uva.nl\/j.r.kang\/\">Ross Kang<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenetworkcenter.nl\/People\/Postdocs\/person\/160\/Dr-Linda-Cook\">funded by the NETWORKS consortium<\/a> from July 2024 &#8211; August 2025.
